From the initial consultation, to design, installation and support, we’ve got you covered.
KEY FEATURES OF ACCESS CONTROL:
- Leading Edge Technology at your fingertips: Electronic keyfob systems utilize the very latest in ‘smart’ technology and enhanced encryption for the most secure systems.
- Multiple options to choose from: Designed and offered as server/pc-based, browser-based or cloud-based solutions
Control access across the entire site (elevators, visitor gates, amenity spaces, storage lockers.)
SEAMLESS INTEGRATION:Integrates seamlessly with solution to include tenant suite doors (if required) & video surveillance
RECORD THE WHOLE USER AUDIT TRAIL:The system records authorized and unauthorized events for retrieval and review
CUSTOMIZATION:Fully customizable software to accommodate individuals or groups of users with the ability to establish authority levels, user access rights, set schedules for doors, users, etc. Convenience: Allows you to manage multiple properties through one main software platform.
Additional services, such as automatic door hardware, are also available as add-ons to the basic package.

EMERGENCY
COMMUNICATION
DBM Technologies is a building security and communications company in Vancouver, British Columbia, and they work there. Yet, 1 in 3 buildings in Greater Vancouver has elevators with phones that either doesn't work right or don't work at all. This is a big risk for property managers, owners, and strata groups. If so, have you looked at them recently? Get in touch with us, and we'll do a risk assessment for you for free.
WITH ELEVATOR EMERGENCY COMMUNICATION, WE HAVE A LOT OF EXPERIENCE, WHICH INCLUDES THINGS LIKE:- The first risk assessment.
- Help with code consultations is available.
- Audits of buildings and communication systems in elevators are two examples of what we do.
- It is critical to understand the current state of the system, as well as where things are going wrong and what needs to be changed.
- A number of upgrades are recommended so that the code is fully compatible with the regulations.
- In this case, we will provide and install the elevator communication system.
ENTRYPHONES
& INTERCOMS
ENTRYPHONES & INTERCOM
DBM Technologies sells, services, and installs entryphone and intercom systems for multi-tenant residential and commercial applications in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. These systems keep your building safe.
We help you maintain and service your security system, or we can help you upgrade your building's security to use the most up-to-date technology.
For retrofits, upgrades, and new projects, fully integrated solutions that work with the building's card access and elevator floor control system (if necessary) can be used for these things.
These are the types of systems we can help you install and fix:
AUTO-DIALER ENTRYPHONE AND INTERCOM SYSTEMSPeople in most homes and businesses today use a telephone line. When someone enters their home, they use a phone line to call their cell phone or land line. Typically, there is a separate phone number just for the entry phone.
Systems that use voice over IP (VoIP) to answer the door and talk to each other
VoIP can use your building's wifi network to cut down on the need to run wires through the building. This means that building security upgrades could be very cost-effective.
Another benefit of the VoIP system is that it can stream video at the same time as the call. If you want, you can also see and hear the person at the door through a video feed on your phone. There is a two-way video option that can be added to the system. This means that the resident can turn their own video camera on or off.
More and more buildings in British Columbia use VoIP technology for their security solution.
NON-SUBSCRIBER LINE (NSL) ENTRYPHONE SYSTEMS
New buildings in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland still use the NSL system, which is an old system that is still used. There is a phone in each resident's room specifically for the front doorbell. Because the system doesn't use a telephone line, there isn't one to go with it. However, the NSL entryphone can only do a limited amount of things. It can't be linked to a cell phone, so you can't open the door when you're not home. Our teams have a lot of experience with upgrading entryphones in older buildings.

DOOR HARDWARE MODERNIZATION
Modern door hardware solutions that improve security, functionality, and compatibility with today’s access control.
VIDEO SURVEILLANCE
& ANALYTICS
VIDEO SURVEILLANCE
Specializes in the design, supply, and installation of new surveillance technologies for multi-tenant residential and commercial buildings, as well as for industrial applications, such as gas plants. Modern, proven, and cost-effective surveillance technology is often less expensive than older and more traditional systems that have been around for a long time.
We service and install these types of systems:
ANALOG VIDEO SURVEILLANCE
As time goes on, a lot of the old analog surveillance systems are being replaced with newer IP and HD camera technology. Analog cameras are the cameras that have been used in CCTV for a long time. People record and store information in VCRs or DVR boxes that have a wired cable.
IP/ HD (HIGH DEFINITION) VIDEO SURVEILLANCE
IP cameras are digital cameras that have high-definition images. They have a lot of features, like:
- Use a smartphone app, PC, or tablet to get into the system from afar.
- Having the ability to connect to your computer from anywhere over the internet is a good thing.
- You can see and control your system from anywhere. You can turn on and off the cameras, move them, zoom in and zoom out, and so on.
IT DOESN'T MATTER IF YOU NEED ANALOG, IP/HD, OR A MIX OF BOTH. DBM TECHNOLOGIES'S TEAMS WORK ON:
Our teams have a lot of experience with designing and putting in place video systems that use wireless technology in places where traditional wired solutions aren't possible. Depending on the customer's needs, we can help them with both wired and wireless systems.
- Video management systems can be simple or very complex.
- Server or cloud-based solutions
- Video systems that work well with card access and intrusion systems
- Video Analytics: You can use this to figure out how your videos work and look at them.
AI can be used to solve and record problems at a specific location, such as loitering, intrusion detection, facial recognition, people counting, and vehicle and license plate recognition.

INTRUSION SYSTEMS
& MONITORING
INTRUSION SYSTEMS THAT ENSURE THE BEST BUILDING SECURITY
A typical intrusion system for your home or business would have a lot of different parts, like door contacts, motion detectors, glass breaks, piezo buzzers, keypads, and more. These parts are all essential parts of the system. Service your old intrusion systems, or let us help you set up a new one that will make your building more secure, so you can keep your things safe. They can help. Apps and web browsers are used to control the modern commercial intrusion systems used today.
These tools can be used on a smart phone, tablet, or computer to keep track of them. The place doesn't matter. A certified ULC-listed central station keeps an eye on things all the time, even when it's dark or rainy. There are hard-wired and wireless systems that can be used to keep people from getting into a building. There has been a big rise in the use of wireless systems recently because they are cheaper and easier to use than wired systems.
MODERN INTRUSION SYSTEMS FOR OPTIMAL BUILDING SECURITY CAN USE THE LATEST FEATURES, LIKE:
- Keep an eye on how the system is working and arm or disarm it from anywhere with a mobile device or PC.
- Receive alerts right away about the system's low battery, power outage, supervisory alarms, temperature alarms, water or flood detection, and more.
- Receive notifications right away when doors open and close.
- Solutions that work well with card access and video surveillance systems
- You can Increase your building security by providing audit trail data and/or video of alarm events (live and recording)
